Irvine Coding Club (ICC) is a non profit organization run by students and serving K-12 students in Orange County.
The Irvine Coding Club is a Presidential Volunteer Service Award Certifying Organization.

Ways to Join

You can join ICC as a member, or volunteer and help with courses, school branches, and more.

Join as a Member

You can join the Irvine Coding Club as a member by joining our Discord Server, full of other ICC members and volunteers. When you join our Discord server, you can form teams for competitions or hackathons, or teach courses.

Apply to become a Teacher

ICC teachers lead the online classes now and in the future, will give courses at our various branches. Teachers will also actively participate in writing class materials. Teachers will be appointed by the ICC Board and Advisors. Applications will open in July 2021. Exact information will be released soon.

Apply as a Teaching Assistant

Anyone is welcome to help our students in courses, answer student’s problems, and help discussion sessions in breakout rooms. In the summer of 2021, you can join our Discord Server to apply to be a Teacher’s Assistant (TA) for any of the classes we offer.

Apply as a Branch Director

If you are passionate for coordinating/teaching academic subjects to students at your school (or former schools), you are welcome (and encouraged) to apply to be an ICC branch director for your school (or your community). Message us on Discord for more details. Branch directors will be appointed and reviewed by the ICC Board and Advisors.


To become a teacher, you must meet the following requirements:

  • Current incoming student from 6th to 12th grade
  • Possess a passion for teaching, learning, and helping others!

No coding experience is needed to become a member or volunteer! We’re here to learn with the community, engaging in courses, learnathons, and hackathons.

ICC is open to all student volunteers, come to ICC and volunteer now. Your service hours can be accumulated for winning a Presidential Volunteer Service Award. To apply for a specific role, email or message us on Discord.
